Contact soldering in electronics production with and without vacuum
Contact soldering under vacuum is best suited for void-free soldering of different components (e.g. IGBT) on DBC substrates. Materials that are normally highly dissimilar are fused under vacuum at temperatures up to 450 °C. The reduced pressure helps to minimise oxidation on the components and on the solder itself. The heat is transferred both via thermal conduction and optionally by radiation. Learn ways to use the contact soldering process under vacuum and experience the high level of user-friendliness offered by the Nexus contact soldering system live in action.

Conformal Coating Seminar
Coating technology in the electronics industry continues to advance. The many materials and application methods are specially tailored to the assembly being manufactured. Losing track of what can be done isn’t difficult! In our seminar we show you that choosing and implementing appropriate procedures need not be unnecessarily complicated. Learn from lectures from the field and workshops in our Technology Centre how you can achieve the perfect material application in just a few steps.
5th December 2019
Temperature profiling
Measuring methods and optimal reflow soldering profile methods
The world of electronic assemblies is so diverse and complex that covering all the specific requirements of components and materials just isn’t possible. It’s up to producer to use his skill and expertise to find the optimal reflow parameters. However, there are some tips, evidence and experience available which can aid optimisation. Learn in our seminar how to distinguish fact from fiction. The first part of the seminar will give you an insight into the basics and optimal parameters of reflow profiling. In the second part you will learn how to prepare a measuring board, understand the benefits of a thermal imaging camera, and create reflow profiles yourself.
Please note: All seminars are held in German.
