Electronics on the Road Starts with a Positive Response

The kick-off event for the new Electronics on the Road event format on 29 and 30 January in Hamburg was a complete success. Numerous experts from the electronics manufacturing industry experienced an event kick-off that not only shone with innovative approaches and practical content, but also offered numerous opportunities for intensive dialogue. The next Electronics on the Road event will take place on 12 and 13 March at the b'mine Hotel in Düsseldorf.

The event, organised by the ASYS Group, ASMPT and Rehm Thermal Systems, offered a multifaceted programme with six outstanding specialist presentations: particularly noteworthy was the contribution by Stefan Wespel (Diehl AKO Stiftung & Co. KG) on networked production in small and medium series as well as the presentation by Dr Johannes Adam (Easylogix GmbH), who presented the digital reflow simulation of PCB assemblies in detail. In addition, Christian Albinger (BMK Group GmbH & Co. KG), with his findings on test procedures and error analyses, and Stefan Burmeister (beflex electronic GmbH), who discussed the importance of design checks for shortening development times, provided valuable impetus.

During the breaks and discussion rounds, the participants had ample opportunity for intensive dialogue with specialists and experts, which led to a large number of new contacts. One participant from the industry emphasised that the event offered an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and network. He was particularly impressed by the central location of the venue and the interactive formats. The table-top exhibition by partner companies Christian Koenen, Viscom, Zevac, Vliesstoff Kasper, Stannol and Kolb was also very well received.

The Science Slam was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the event, which took place the evening before in a convivial atmosphere and captivated the participants with a wide range of topics from science, technology and cultural history: the presentations offered an exciting mix of surprising technical insights and humorous stories – a combination that was met with much enthusiasm. At the end, the audience chose the best "slammer" of the evening.

The organisers were very pleased with the successful start to the event series and are looking forward to the next dates in Düsseldorf, Karlsruhe and Dresden with great anticipation.

Düsseldorf awaits you!

The event will continue on 12 and 13 March at the b'mine Hotel in Düsseldorf. Here, too, six speakers from the companies that were already present in Hamburg will be speaking. And the Science Slam the evening before also promises a few surprises. What is new, however, is the expansion of the table-top exhibition by MTM Ruhrzinn.
