Certainly, the number of exhibitors and visitors could not compete with productronica 2019 before the pandemic, but that was foreseeable in advance. However, with 894 exhibitors from 36 countries and around 20,000 visitors from almost 70 countries, 60 % of whom were international visitors, this response is quite respectable under the difficult conditions.
At the Rehm Thermal Systems stand in Hall A4, there was a great deal of interest in the systems on display and the visitors were all pleased to have the opportunity to once again exchange information face-to-face about the new developments and concrete projects. Under the motto "Eight processes, infinite possibilities", Rehm presented the complete range of reflow soldering technologies through to conformal coating systems and the associated UV drying system.
One highlight was the new instrument integrated into the VisionXP+ via the ViCON system software for monitoring thermal profiles during soldering: ProMetrics. It checks how well the previously created profile corresponds to the required, predefined specifications. The resulting process window index (PWI) is a statistical measure that quantifies the quality of a thermal process. A unique feature is the graphical output and documentation of the profile of each individual manufactured assembly. Deviations can thus be detected at an early stage and are fully documented.
In addition to the VisionXP+ VAC convection soldering system with integrated vacuum chamber, visitors were also able to find out about the vapor phase soldering process of the CondensoXC and the Nexus contact soldering system, which can be operated with and without formic acid. The ProtectoXC and ProtectoXP as well as the RDS UV dryer completed the range of exhibits and presented a broad spectrum of innovative systems from Rehm.
"Many interesting conversations, discussions on specific projects and the personal exchange with our customers and visitors have made Productronica one of the highlights in 2021," sums up Michael Hanke, Chief Sales Officer at Rehm.
